Bella Linda - Digital Wall Displays may be observed as a communication device, described as a type of basic assistive technology within the level 1 category.Any device, piece of equipment, or technology that is relevant to your disability may be funded by the NDIS; this includes items that may be therapeutic in nature or that may enable you to carry out tasks that you would not otherwise be able to.
Generally speaking, the NDIS views a piece of equipment as low-cost assistive technology if it costs less than AUD $ 1500.00 and is readily available. You can purchase this with your Core financing since it falls under the category of Consumables for Core support.
Subsequently, it depends on how your plan is managed, but in most cases, you will require an invoice from Bella Linda. In this case an invoice can be requested by emailing Bella Linda at info@bellalinda.com.au with the following details:

As with all NDIS supports, any technology you buy must meet the criteria of reasonable and necessary. This means it needs to be both related to your disability and offer value for money. Additionally, Bella Linda, in most cases will be required to offer the 24” Digital Wall Display as the cheapest option. Although, if there’s a specific reason why you may require the 32” Digital Wall Display option, you may have to provide evidence to support this. This might be a simple letter from an occupational therapist explaining the more expensive item has an extra feature you require, such as more information may be displayed without compromising on font size.
Although Bella Linda is, as of date that this blog was published, consider a NDIS unregistered provider, it simply means that Bella Linda does not go through the same auditing process that looks to ensure that strict requirements are met regarding safety, quality and compliance, which are set by the NDIS safeguard commission. This does not mean that Bella Linda does not meet the same quality as NDIS registered providers.
Consequently, when your plan is plan managed or self-managed, you can use both unregistered and registered providers. If your plan is agency (NDIA) managed, then you may be required to only use registered providers.
